Welcome to Owlwake. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Owlwake's website-watching service, its alerts and reports, and owlwake.com (together, the "Service"), operated by Owlwake ("we", "us" or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Owlwake, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have the authority to agree to these Terms for the business you represent
  • Your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws

You also agree to comply with Telegram's Terms of Service for the chats you link to us.

2. Service description

Owlwake is a website-watching service that:

  • Checks websites you own or control from the outside, around the clock: whether they are up, their security certificates, their domain registration and DNS, their email security records, the settings that let search engines find them, their speed and broken links, and signs that someone else has changed them
  • Tells the people you name, over Telegram and in plain English, when something needs doing, what it is, and who can fix it
  • Sends a monthly report on each site
  • Offers plans with different checks and frequencies

We do no hands-on work. We never fix, host, update or change your website, DNS or email, never log in to anything you own, and never run active security tests. When something needs fixing, we say what should be done and who can do it, and we may suggest people who could help; those suggestions come without warranty, and we take no commission for them.

The Service depends on the internet and on systems we do not run, such as your hosting, your DNS provider and Telegram. We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous, uninterrupted availability of the Service
  • That every problem will be detected, or detected within a particular time
  • Delivery of alerts when a system outside ours fails

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. Your sites and authorisation

We watch a site for you only after you confirm in writing that you own or control it and authorise the checks. By doing so:

  • You confirm that you own or control each site you ask us to watch, or have the permission of whoever does
  • You authorise passive checks: we look at your site and its servers the way any visitor could, and the pages we fetch name us as OwlwakeBot, except our speed test, which loads your homepage the way a mobile browser does
  • You understand that checks for exposed files and directory listings ask for a short fixed list of addresses that attackers also try, which your host or firewall may notice (the list is on our OwlwakeBot page); we switch them on for a site only once you tell us you have allowed them, and off whenever you ask. Where they were on when this rule began, on 14 September 2026 (UTC), they stay on until you ask us to switch them off
  • You confirm that the people you ask us to alert have agreed to hear from us, and you are responsible for who can read the chats you link to us
  • You agree to tell us promptly when a site changes hands or your authorisation ends

If we have reason to believe you are not entitled to authorise checks on a site, we will stop checking it.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Paid subscriptions have not opened yet. Until they do, nobody is charged, and this section applies from the day you first subscribe.

4.1 Plans

Owlwake offers the following plans:

  • Essentials, priced per site
  • Pro, priced per site
  • Agency, for ten sites, then priced per site

What each plan includes, and its price, are set out on our pricing when you subscribe. A feature listed there that we do not yet provide is not part of your plan until we tell you it is available.

4.2 Billing

  • Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for subscriptions. Your purchase contract is with Lemon Squeezy, and their Buyer Terms apply in addition to these Terms
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly, depending on your selection
  • Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled
  • Prices are displayed in USD. Sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout by the merchant of record, depending on your billing location

4.3 Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal (linked from your order confirmation email), or by writing to hello@owlwake.com
  • Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • After the billing period ends, we stop checking your sites, and section 11.3 applies

4.4 Refunds

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first subscription purchase. Where Saudi Arabia's E-Commerce Law (Royal Decree M/126) applies to your purchase, this reflects your statutory right; where it does not, we offer it as a matter of policy.

To request a refund, write to hello@owlwake.com. Subscriptions are refunded by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record; you may also contact Lemon Squeezy directly using the details on your order confirmation email.

After the 7-day period, no refunds will be issued. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the billing period.

4.5 Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle.

5. Your data

The information you give us about your business, your sites and the people we alert, and the results of our checks on your sites ("Your Data"), are used to provide the Service. By giving us Your Data, you:

  • Retain ownership of Your Data
  • Grant Owlwake a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and process Your Data solely for the purpose of providing the Service
  • Represent that you have all necessary rights to give it to us, including the agreement of the people you ask us to alert

5.1 Passwords

We never ask for passwords to your website, hosting or email, and you must not send them. If you send one anyway, we will not use it and will ask you to change it.

5.2 How long we keep it

Our Privacy Policy sets out how long we keep each kind of information.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its code, checks, design, reports, branding and documentation, is owned by Owlwake and protected by intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service
  • Use Owlwake branding without written permission
  • Create derivative works based on the Service

You may share the alerts and reports we send you with anyone who helps look after your sites. Your Data remains yours. The licence granted to Owlwake is solely for operating the Service and does not transfer ownership.

7. Prohibited activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

  • Asking us to check a website you do not own or control, or giving an authorisation you are not entitled to give
  • Automated access, scraping, or flooding of our website or its forms
  • Circumventing plan limits or subscription restrictions
  • Impersonating Owlwake or its operators
  • Using the Service for spam, harassment, or abuse
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Interfering with or disrupting the Service or its infrastructure
  • Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them
  • Using the Service to violate any applicable law

8. Service disclaimers

Important

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Every problem will be detected, or that results from using the Service will be accurate or complete
  • Alerts will reach you when a system outside ours, such as Telegram, fails
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements

Owlwake is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or created by Telegram, or by any company whose tools or data our checks use.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Owlwake's total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the six (6) months preceding the claim
  • Owlwake shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • Owlwake shall not be liable for losses arising from a problem the Service did not detect, or from an alert lost in a system outside ours

Note: under Saudi Arabian law, courts generally only award compensation for proven direct damages. Claims for speculative damages or loss of profit may not be enforceable.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Owlwake and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your Data
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any claim that you were not entitled to authorise checks on a site you asked us to watch

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by you

You may stop using the Service at any time. To cancel your subscription, use the Lemon Squeezy customer portal or write to hello@owlwake.com. Asking us to stop watching a site does not automatically cancel your subscription; it must be cancelled through one of those routes, or it will continue to renew.

11.2 Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe:

  • Violates these Terms
  • Is harmful to others or to the Service
  • Violates applicable law

11.3 Effect of termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service immediately ceases, and we stop checking your sites
  • We keep Your Data for 90 days from the day you leave, in case you return, and then delete it; ask us, and we delete it sooner. Our console's record of what we did for you, including your business name and your sites' addresses, is kept for 24 months, as our Privacy Policy says
  • Provisions that should survive termination (such as Limitation of Liability and Indemnification) will remain in effect

12. Governing law and disputes

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dispute resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) under its Arbitration Rules in effect at the time of the dispute.

  • The arbitration shall be conducted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
  • Proceedings may be conducted in English and Arabic
  • The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding

Before initiating arbitration, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by writing to hello@owlwake.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith within 30 days.

13. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • For material changes, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the chat we send your alerts to
  • Your continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new Terms

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service before the changes take effect.
